Disaster Services Human Resources (DSHR) Administrator Volunteer

Manage the local DSHR System data for Muskingum, Perry, Morgan, Guernsey and Noble Counties, including —

− entering member records into the on-line database used to manage the DSHR System.

− maintaining electronic and hard copy records of all DSHR System members in the chapter’s jurisdiction, with all health and medical records maintained in a separate locked file at the American Red Cross Muskingum Valley Chapter House..

− ensuring that members meet the current DSHR requirements and are prepared to provide services in keeping with the policies, regulations and procedures of the organization.

− provide career development for members.

Local DSHR administrators are responsible for recruiting staff for assignment as requested, by national headquarters for larger relief operations based on staff requests and the ability of chapter members to serve on relief operations beyond the jurisdiction of the chapter. The DSHR System database will be used to track active assignments to disaster relief operations.

The Local DSHR administrator will report to the Regional Disaster Services Field Specialist.
