A community based 501(c)(3) not for profit organization whose primary focus is educate, encourage, equip and empower fathers to be engaged responsible and positive parents in the lives of their children.

We provide celebration activities like All Pro Dad Breakfast; All Star Dads Day and Watch D.O.G.S. that give fathers/father figures an opportunity to have fun while being engage with their child in a positive role model setting.

We offer fathering programs that educate men how to be more nurturing and better manage their emotional well being in challenged situations. These programs include Boot Camp for New Dads (pre-birthing dads); NFL - Nurturing Fathers for Life (school aged fathers and beyond); Inside Out DADS (fathers who are incarcerated).

As an organization, we offer limited coaching which is a term for interview and recommendation on a one on one basis. Coaching provides an opportunity for a dad to meet with a staff person (Executive Director or Key Staff member) to discuss their present situation which includes his relationship with the mother of his children; his children; the courts; his past; his educational and economic deficiencies; his health needs, both physical, mental and emotional.

ForeverDads will be offering again a selection of parenting classes that will include the mother of the children or significant other person in the father’s life such as Survival Skills for Healthy Families; Couples Communication; Active Parenting for Blended Families as well as one for Divorces, Dissolution or Disconnected.

ForeverDads operates a grocery store (ComeUNITY Marketplace) that serves as experiential hands on training site. Designed as a marketplace employment training program, we work with men/fathers who have been challenge with employment stability. Our grocery store serves as a sustainability project for the organization; it connects with the families we most desire to serve and meets a real need for families by providing low cost groceries. It is located at 135 S. 6th Street in Zanesville.

There are several more program/services that will be unfolding in the coming year that address child support; understanding the culture of those we serve and effectively addressing teenage fatherhood.

Volunteer Opportunities for ForeverDads

Coaching Parents

We need a couple whether they are married to each other or two couples that would work as a team to facilitate a program aimed at families who are connected by the birth of a child, not by the bonds of matrimony. We would provide the curriculum, training materials, marketing, delivery location, etc. - we just need someone with the heart/passion to serve these parents.

Project Coordinator

Critically, we need volunteer leadership. Individuals who can take a project, learn its focus and outcome objectives and assist toward building the framework for the successful outcome of its goals.

Large Scale Fundraising Coordinator

We have an exciting county wide family focused fundraising project that will engage families within their communities while at the same time generate $100,000 for our organization. We need someone to step up to the plate and have fun doing this great community event.

Marketing

We could use a creative marketing person. They could work from home helping us to better market our organization and our various projects.

Mentors

We need healthy men who are will to serve as mentors. We are on the verge of unleashing a concept that will revolutionize how we serve fathers, but we need someone who can provide the leadership skills to rally troops of men toward this idea.

Manage Website Updates

We have a website, however we need someone who would volunteer to keep it active up to date with our brochures, program applications, connections to other resources and overall clear crisp easy to use that will cause the entire family to see it as a source for their answers.
