The Avondale Youth Center (AYC) is a co-ed, residential therapeutic center with a twenty-two bed capacity, operated by the Muskingum County Children Services Board and licensed by Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Established in 1911, the facility provides a comprehensive therapeutic intervention program to youth who have been abused/neglected or abandoned.
Volunteers could come in one Tuesday a month and do a craft with our youth and visit. An individual or a group can come in and do a craft and provide a snack for that day. The kids really seemed to enjoy this and the time frame was usually 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. We would like at least a 6 month commitment for this. It gives our kids something to look forward to.

In just two hours, each volunteer will package over 300 meals. You've always said that you want to make a difference. Take this opportunity to do just that!

Help staff our table at fairs and exhibits so that the community can learn about us.
Daily check the "Donations" messages and follow up on each call to determine a convenient time for pick-up. Get address information and directions for pick-up volunteers.
We have an exciting county wide family focused fundraising project that will engage families within their communities while at the same time generate $100,000 for our organization. We need someone to step up to the plate and have fun doing this great community event.
Volunteers need to assist with bulk mailing, filing, and inventory etc
The Franciscan Community Meals-on-Wheels Adopt-a-Route program is an easy and effective way for companies and organizations to get involved in their local communities! With as few as four people, a company or organization can Adopt-a-Route and deliver meals one day a week. Therefore, individual staff members would only deliver once a month, but the company or organization would help seniors, homebound and handicapped individuals every week.
We need someone to prepare meals for 10-30 youth 1-4 nights / week.
